Recent Activity

In January 2012, Phillip Thomas, BSc, MBus, MAIG was hired as Vice President of Exploration. In June, 2012, he joined the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Thomas brings solid expertise of exploration of iron ore and mine development (iron ore specifically). He has the experience to commercialize early-stage projects and manage large teams.

Iron Ore Properties - In August 2011, Arrowstar optioned three iron ore projects and received final regulatory approval in November.
  • Port Snettisham, 49 mineral claims 30 miles southeast of Juneau, Alaska.
  • Roberts Lake, 128 claims in Northern Quebec along the extensive and important Ungava Bay Iron Formation.
  • Rannie Lake, 172 claims in Labrador.
Port Snettisham, Alaska - With the 2012 sampling and geophysical work program completed, the company is busy obtaining the necessary permits to proceed to the drilling phase, moving the Company forward toward mine planning and production.

Roberts Lake, Quebec - Arrowstar completed its initial sampling and geophysical program in 2012, and also identified 3 large outcrops showing iron ore mineralization. However, the Company has decided to abandon this property (due to the high costs of logistics) and to focus its resources exclusively on the Alaska project.

Rannie lake, Labrador - On Dec. 6, 2012, the Company reported that it had decided to return the property to the vendor. The Arrowstar team conducted preliminary investigations of the Rannie Lake property but decided that the Company's resources and efforts could be used to greater advantage on the Company's Snettisham Iron Ore project located 30 miles SE of Juneau Alaska.

Atlin Gold & Silver Properties - In the spring of 2011, Arrowstar acquired gold and silver exploration properties near Atlin, British Columbia, Canada. The company immediately began advancing those properties with geological exploration, resulting in the Northern Treasure and Bryer claims showing potential for significant mineral finds. After extensive desktop research and a review of the logistics, the Company has decided not to proceed with either of these tenements and has returned the properties back to their respective title holders.

Harris Gold & Copper Property - Arrowstar signed an option agreement for a group of gold-copper claims called the Harris Group near Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada. The Company has decided not to proceed with this tenement and has returned the property back to its title holder.
